Are any of the following occuring with the fit of your bra?
Underwire poking?
Band pinching?
Groove on your shoulders from the straps?
Does the bra ride up in the back?
Are the cups not supportive?
Or are the cups overflowing?
To best determine how you can eliminate these problems and enjoy a proper fitting bra there are a few simple steps!
First you will need a seamstresses regular cloth tape measure.
For ease and accuracy it is best to have someone else measure you.
Proper band measurement:
Start with a snug measurement under your bust and shoulder blades.
The tape should be around your rib cage, to determine your band measurement.
Note the measurement and add 5 inches to the number.
If you get an even number that number is your band size.
If you get an odd number it is to be rounded up one for your proper band size (Eg: 39"+ 1" = 40").
Proper bust measurement:
With your top off and keeping your bra on, take a loose measurement around the fullest part of your bust.
Determine your cup size:
Subtract your first measurement from your second measurement.
Bust measurement - Band measurement = the difference
Use this number to determine your cup size from the following guide:
If the difference is: 0" cup size is AA
1" cup size is A
2" cup size is B
3" cup size is C
4" cup size is D
5" cup size is DD
6" cup size is DDD E F
7" cup size is G
8" cup size is H
9" cup size is I
10" cup size is J
